Are you an experienced Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant?
Do you have experience working on a one to one basis with pupils in Key Stage One?
Are you confident in supporting pupils with special educational needs?

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a number of primary schools in the centre of York, who require Teaching Assistants to work on a one to one basis with a pupils with varying special educational needs. These roles will be on a temporary, day to day basis, giving you the chance to work across a variety of different schools and gain valuable experience in the education sector.

The ideal candidates will be Team Teach trained and hold excellent de-escalation techniques. You will have had past experience working with SEN pupils and be able to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 academically, socially and emotionally. We are seeking a calm and patient individual who has outstanding communication skills and a proven track record of successfully supporting challenging pupils.

This role will involve supporting pupils during classroom hours, as well as providing additional one to one sessions at designated times throughout the week. You will be required to track and monitor progress and communicate with the schools SENCO, as well as teachers, parents and outside agencies.
