Immediate start – SEN Teaching Assistant – East Sussex School

  • Graduates/trained professionals in Psychology, Art, Music, Sports or Horticulture welcome.
  • Prior involvement with 5 – 16 years olds in any professional or home environment
  • Understanding of special educational needs such as complex learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism and global developmental delay is ideal but not essential

A special educational needs (SEN) school based in East Sussex require a special educational needs Teaching Assistant (TA) full time for an immediate start. Experience in SEN is a bonus but is not essential as this school offers full training. This school has state of the art Special Educational Needs facilities, such as soft play areas, multi-sensory rooms, and adventure playgrounds. They also have their own large indoor swimming pool. Therefore, this school are looking for staff who can bring out pupils true potential harnessing these facilities. Alongside this they are looking for staff who are good all-rounders in core subjects such as Literacy, Numeracy and Science at KS1/KS2 level. However, any specialities such as sport, music or art, are always welcome.

This school offer a variety of training for their staff including Team-Teach, moving and handling, basic first aid and health and safety.
