Teaching Assistants required in Gosport

Schools within Gosport are currently looking for teaching assistants with a special educational needs background. The job includes:

* Behavioural support,
* Interventions and one to one support,
* Nurture of children with SEN to allow them to integrate into school life.

The successful candidate will be involved in the care and provision for children with SEN, implementing intervention groups' and one to one support with small groups. The main focus will be on the behavioural support, making sure the children are focused and enjoying learning. You will work alongside the class teacher to implement strategies and management techniques that will benefit the child.

The right candidate will embody a number of personal skills, such as a caring attitude, patience, an ability to understand and manage problems, behaviour support experience and knowledge of special educational needs. You will need to have a positive attitude with a interest in developing the child as an individual and their development within education.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
