Job description

Maths Tutor – Ilkeston (DE7)

Are you passionate about helping students succeed in Maths? We are looking for an experienced Maths Tutor to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in Ilkeston (DE7), making a real and lasting difference to their confidence and attainment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners who need additional guidance in Maths, helping them strengthen their understanding and achieve their academic goals.


The Role

  • Provide tailored 1:1 Maths tuition to students

  • Plan and deliver engaging, effective learning sessions

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs

  • Support students’ academic progress and confidence in Maths

  • Monitor progress and help students reach their learning targets


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths

  • Strong ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons

  • Good knowledge of the Maths curriculum (KS2–KS4 desirable)

  • A supportive, motivating approach to learning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
