TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated Secondary English Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils in Gateshead (NE8).

This is a rewarding opportunity to support secondary-aged students who need additional guidance in English, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, and analytical skills while building confidence in their learning.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 English lessons to secondary school pupils
• Support students with literacy, comprehension, essay writing, and exam preparation
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities
• Plan structured sessions that support GCSE English progress
• Track pupil progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Build confidence and encourage a positive attitude towards learning

 What We’re Looking For

• Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged pupils (KS3/KS4)
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE requirements
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to support different learning needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
