Youth Worker - Teaching Assistant
Full Time - ASAP Start
Secondary School in Caerphilly
PayGBP300 - GBP350 week
One of our client secondary schools in Caerphilly are looking to recruit a youth worker to support a small group of students with additional needs in their provision. These students are vulnerable and who struggle to build relationships and engage in school life. This provision is an escape for these students and a safe zone, enabling them to develop and learn. The role is to work within this provision, building relationships with the students and being enthusiastic and energetic to help them engage in their learning.
You will be joining a large secondary school with a very successful support team that are pioneers within the community. They want someone who is going to be there for the foreseeable who they can invest in with training and guidance.

Experience working with secondary aged pupils (11 to 16) is desirable but not essential, any experience working with children, in care, or with challenging behaviour will be considered. The right candidate will have a positive and motivational attitude with a calm and patient demeanour. The youth worker must be able to work Mon – Fri 8:30am – 3:30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
