Teaching Assistant Wanted for KS2 in South Liverpool

A client school in South Liverpool are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated TA team on a full time basis from October/ November 2019. The successful applicant will be able to hold interventions to deliver reading, English and maths interventions to children across KS2. The successful candidate will work along side the class teachers to move lower ability children on with their learning, by working closely with them to deliver targeted intervention sessions.

The school are seeking a dedicated practitioner to help raise attainment across the school by working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This primary school has high levels of EAL so the selected candidate will be required to work closely with selected children to aid their speech and language.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are looking to gain experience working in primary schools. Experience working with children would be essential to this role.

The ideal candidate will,

  • Hold a degree in education/a core subject or equivalent
  • Be confident in supporting children's learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Be looking to pursue a career in education
  • Be able to start in October or November
