Job description

Teaching Personnel are working alongside an alternative provision that provides education for pupils in KS2 and KS3 who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school. The school operates from two sites across the Wakefield area and aim to support students and help them achieve their greatest successes and achievements.

The school believes that all pupils should be welcomed and given every opportunity to succeed and make progress in their learning. The school are looking for dedicated, passionate individuals who see each day as a fresh start and encourage all students to build on their successes and learn from their mistakes.

The school delivers a wide ranging curriculum which is centred around English and Math's with an opportunity to explore Science, Technology, PE, Art, Outdoor Education and a broad range of enrichment activities.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support students on a 1:1 or group basis. You will be passionate and committed to working with students with additional needs such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
