Teaching Assistant - Southgate
*KS1-KS2 AUTISM*
*PECS, MAKATON*
We are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to begin working at a primary special needs school in Southgate.
You will be supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils with autism and complex needs by providing additional support on a 1:1 basis in the classroom.
The school have renovated their facilities in the summer and have included a state of the art sensory room; providing a more engaging and interactive learning environment for their pupils.
Knowledge of PECS and Makaton is always beneficial but is not a requirement.
The special needs school in Southgate are looking for an individual with an outgoing personality and has a passion for working with students with special educational needs.
Experience:
- Supporting primary students with autism
- Previous experience working in an SEN/ Youth Setting
- PECS and Makaton (not a requirement)
- Experience working with KS1-KS2 pupils
