Teaching Assistant - SEN

We are currently working with a secondary school in the Bolton area who specifically cater for children with special educational needs such as SLD, PMLD and ASC.
The staff are in need of a keen candidate to assist the class teachers, by encouraging learning in the classroom and monitoring behaviour. Due to the nature of the students needs, they will need special attention to remain engaged and understand the work so a Teaching Assistant with a patient and conscientious attitude to learning would be a good fit for the school. Some students may need extra help with communication and use PECS for communication, or need personal care and handling, so candidates should be aware of what is required of them and ideally be experienced in these areas from an education or care environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships with the students, massively enhancing their educational experiences and being a part of their support network.
The school offer a varied and exciting curriculum which gives the students the knowledge and skills they need to graduate from school successfully, as well as developing their social and emotional skills.
