Teaching Assistant – SEN Schools

Location: Farnborough

Salary: £13.75 per hour

Contract: Term Time Only (Monday to Friday)

Hours: Full-time and part-time roles available

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Farnborough. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and making a positive impact on young people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering structured educational and emotional support

  • Support pupils in developing social skills, confidence, and independence

  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to meet individual pupil needs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
