Job description

We are looking for a candidate for one of our schools in northern Bolton, which caters for children at KS1 + KS2 level who are not currently in mainstream school due to social, emotional or mental health needs.
The school offers placement for up to 40 students needing support, following the national curriculum for Maths, English, Science and Computing. The curriculum also offers enrichment activities to develop the students talents and confidence, and helping them to grow emotionally.
Teaching Assistants will be required to support students with their learning, prompting them to focus on their work and helping them to understand. Candidates should be passionate, adaptable and enthusiastic to help meet the needs of many students. A background working with children with special needs would be ideal, as well as training in crisis management or de-escalation.
Teaching Personnel is able to provide training in some of these areas by delivering Autism Awareness and Team-Teach.
