Are you an experienced and confident Early Years or Primary Teacher looking for a full time Reception role in a lovely Bristol school, with no planning or marking?

We are working with a warm, welcoming primary school in the BS11 area that is seeking a Reception Teacher to join their team on a full time basis. You will be working collaboratively with the existing Reception class teacher, following their planning and approaches so there is no planning or marking required. The school has a supportive, inclusive atmosphere and values its staff highly.

The Role

• Take shared responsibility for a Reception class, working alongside another class teacher
• Deliver engaging, play based and child centred learning planned by the class teacher, in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports progress for all learners
• Support with observations and informal assessment to feed back to the class teacher
• Implement effective routines and behaviour strategies to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment
• Work closely with support staff to maximise learning, wellbeing and independence for all pupils
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate as required by the school
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of this friendly, community focused school

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong, recent experience in Early Years or lower primary
• Secure understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills, with the ability to slot into existing routines
• Warm, nurturing approach with clear, positive communication skills
• A collaborative, flexible teacher who is happy to follow existing planning and support the class teacher
