Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Runcorn (WA7)

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for a Flexible Teaching Assistant to begin in October 2025. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a nurturing learning environment while accommodating your schedule across weekdays.

Your support will span various year groups, working in tandem with teachers to help children reach their full potential. You’ll assist both in-class and during outdoor learning activities, enriching pupil engagement with both academic and holistic development.

Set on an expansive, leafy campus, the school offers inventive learning spaces, such as open‑plan classrooms, a woodland area, a tranquil pond, an allotment/garden, and modern facilities including a kitchen for design technology, a newly refreshed library, and up‑to‑date ICT equipment. This is all aimed at fostering creativity, outdoor learning, and 21st‑century skills. The school emphasizes a broad and balanced curriculum, strong pastoral care, and an ethos of collaboration, where every child is valued and supported to thrive.

Ideal Candidate

• Able to foster trust with young learners and thrive across varied age groups and classroom contexts
• Level 2 Qualified, or willing to complete
• Confident in building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents to support a collaborative learning ethos
• Ready to adapt to different timetables and activities, from structured lessons to outdoor play or small-group work
• Keen to support pupils with diverse needs, championing their development alongside the SENCO and wider team
