Teaching Assistant (Residential Experience)
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit someone with experience in residential care. As a third of the pupils in this school are in care, the school have found that people with this experience can really impact and understand the needs of their pupils.
If you are looking for a challenge and feel like you can make a difference, then this is the school for you. The school itself caters for young people with SEMH and associated needs. No one day is the same at this school and each day brings its own challenges.
I am looking for someone specifically with:
* "Umph" someone who can bring a little extra to the role
* A candidate who is adaptable and can meet the ever changing needs of the role
* Patience is definitely a virtue - and something you will definitely need to equip yourself with
* Have a firm but fair approach
* Be reliable - continuity and consistency - is massive in this role
It would be helpful if you have the Team Teach qualification if not Teaching Personnel offer CPD and can offer you this opportunity at a small cost over 2 days. The short time sacrifice will definitely benefit you in the long run.
You will also need an Enhanced DBS Disclosure that is relevant for the 'Child Workforce Only' and must be on the update service.
