Are you passionate about working with children? Are you looking for an opportunity to enhance future Teacher Training Opportunities? My client is a specialist school based in Bury which caters for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. They are seeking to employ a Teaching assistant who has the ability to work on a 1:1 basis with young people who have needs which prevent them from functioning academically/socially in a group or school setting. This Teaching assistant role will involve working on a 121 basis with children currently without a mainstream school place as a result of various social and emotional difficulties.
The successful Teaching assistant will help support the young people access a curriculum which is focused directly at their individual needs. This is managed through the class teacher, who will set work. It is then down to the Teaching assistant to manage the young person in a way which enables them to make both education and social progress.
The successful teaching assistant applying for this post will ideally have previous experience working with behaviour and will be willing to take up additional training to support both their application and their professional development once in post.
Pay for this role is between £55.00 and £65.00 per day for 6 hours.
The school are looking to appoint a Teaching assistant from September 2019 on a long term basis. If you are interested in this post please forward a copy of your CV to James Johnson using the details attached.
