Personal Care - Mainstream Primary School - Full year

A mainstream Secondary school based in Nottingham is looking for a teaching assistant who has at least 1 years' experience of working on a 1:1 basis with pupils with physical disabilities.

The student requires support throught the school day (including breaks and lunch times).

The role is full time and you maybe required to assist with the personal care and manual handling.

Responsibilities include;

• Working on a 1 to 1 basis to provide personal support to the child
• Ensure pupil can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills
• You must have a patient and calming nature and a developed knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of the child
• May be elements of personal care
• Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning
• Previous experience working with physical disabilities
• Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide, to motivate and enable pupil to achieve

This role requires candidates to be proactive. It is a full time role, 5 days a week and will run for the duration of the school year. There is a possibility of this role going permanent for the right candidate.
