Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a "Good" school in the NG10 area. The school in question is a Special Needs school for children between the ages of 4 - 16 years old.

The School cater for students with communication and comprehensive needs as well as SLD, MLD and SEMH. Although the school follow the national curriculum they also have a big focus on life skills and social skills.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience of working with SEN such as MLD, SEMH or ASC
  • Recent experience with either an education, youth or residential setting
  • Previously worked with children or young adults
  • Makaton, BSL or PECS knowledge (Desirable but not essential)
  • Able to support students both 1:1 and in a group setting
  • Good communication skills
  • A nurturing and understand attitude
  • Additional CPD such as Team Teach, Autism Awareness or Safeguarding

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
