Teaching Assistant (Short-Term – ASD Support)
Location: Morecambe (LA3)

We are seeking a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (ASD) in a welcoming primary school in the Morecambe (LA3) area. This is a short-term role linked to funding, with a focus on supporting the child’s learning, communication, and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to a pupil with ASD
- Implement structured routines and strategies to support engagement
- Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities
- Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) in a school setting
- Understanding of strategies such as visual supports, routines, and sensory needs
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
