The Head Teacher of an 'outstanding' secondary school in Leyland is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join one of the most successful schools in Lancashire. The school is over-subscribed and has a large catchment area.

The role:

You will be joining a very large and skilled group of TAs. They are high experienced in planning and delivering teaching to small groups or pupils, as well as on a 1:1 basis. They have a very proactive role in the development and emotional support of pupils in school.

You must be committed and enthusiastic to be considered for this role. You will be working part time, supporting teachers and pupils in various year groups.

You will ensure that every child is able to access the education they deserve. You must also be creative and approachable, to make a big positive impact on each child's school life.

You could also be called to complete cover, in the absence of the classroom teach. The work will be set by the classroom teacher, however you will make sure that the children are getting on with their work, as well as making sure the pupils are behaving.

You will have good interpersonal skills, be flexible and focused on the needs and well being of the child. You will be a team player with a 'can do' approach to work and a good sense of humour.
