Teaching Assistant, Leyland

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant for a Leyland based School which caters for pupils with additional learning needs. The School is smaller than average and pupils in this School have a range of needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours. The School are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience working with pupils with behavioural difficulties. The School is based on the outskirts of Leyland and is easily accessible via public transport and by car. The School are looking to appoint a long term, full time position to work with pupils who may display aggression or abusive verbal behaviours. 

The candidate suited to this role will come from an education, youth worker, military or policing background and you must be confident in your own behaviour management skills. The candidate must be willing to work with pupils who have additional learning needs and be empathetic towards the needs of the pupils. The candidate must have some understanding of the curriculum, a minimum of GCSE's (A-C's) and the ideal candidate will hold their Team Teach qualification, but this is not essential.

- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 70 per day
