Role: Teaching Assistant Level 2B
Dates: January 2024 - July 2024 (temp to perm options)
Pay: £11.85 - £12.55 per hour
The Head Teacher and Governors at a 'good' primary school in Nelson, are looking for passionate, positive and compassionate Level 2B Teaching Assistant who is experienced with working in all year groups but with a particular focus on SEN children and children in Key Stage 2.
The contract will be term time only, 28.5 hours per week. The hours of work will require flexibility by the individual but it is proposed Monday to Friday, 9.00-3.30pm with one hour for lunch and an extra hour on a Tuesday for our weekly staff meeting. The position is initially temporary for 4 terms with a view to becoming permanent.
The successful candidate will be:
- A qualified teaching assistant who has experience in all year groups but with a passion for SEN, Early Years and Infants.
- Have excellent organisational and time keeping skills and understand the rigours and demands of mixed aged classes within a small school.
- Be an ambitious professional with high aspirations for the children and families with whom they work; be a creative and inspiring teaching assistant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
