Teaching Assistant

A mainstream Primary School in Knowsley L34, are currently searching for a full time long term Teaching Assistant to work in their KS1 and KS2 classes. You will be working closely with the Class Teachers, supporting the various classrooms and providing intervention and catch up support. The ideal person will have previous relative experience and be confident with Primary core subjects 

The school are looking for an experienced TA to start in November 2020 until Christmas, but possibly longer dependant upon funding 

The school is an Ofsted graded 'Good' Primary School 

The Role

• Full time, long term 
• Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
• GBP10 - GBP11 Per hour
• Mainstream Primary School
• Knowsley, L34
• Start date: November 2020

The tasks which a TA carries out can include:

• Working with KS1 and KS2 classes
• Running group sessions or interventions
• Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
• Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
• Positively managing challenging behaviour and dealing with difficult situations
• Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupils
• Supervising activities such as trips locally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
