Please see the details of a new opportunity for aspiring secondary teachers to work as a Teaching Assistant in Salford, immediate start dates available.
- Full-time Teaching Assistant required, immediate start.
- Providing in class support to students aged 11-16 and covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Aiding young people in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in class – providing experience prior to completing teacher training in the future.
- Earn up to GBP400 per week, depending on previous experience.
- Opportunity to partake in CPD and additional training including Safeguarding, Child Protection and SEN Training.
Working as both a Teaching Assistant within our partner secondary school, you will be responsible for working with students across all age groups, managing the behaviour of pupils both in class and throughout the school day, and providing engaging intervention sessions to ensure all students can excel.
This position is initially being offered with an immediate start date and will continue until the end of this academic year initially. If funding extends, the role will continue into the new academic year (September 2020). It is preferential that the successful Teaching Assistant has previous experience working with children and young people within an educational setting, however full training and support will be provided throughout the position.
Situated in Salford, this 11-16 co-educational secondary school currently has 1000 pupils on roll. Access to the school can be gained via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and for non drivers, there are an abundance of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Bolton and Leigh (Wigan).
