Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a Secondary School located in Scarborough to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants for temporary full time and part time positions starting in September 2019. Are you looking for work as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream school (SEN)?

General Teaching Assistants work under the direction of the class teacher and other appropriate staff, assisting in and contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the learning process. The role will involve working with both groups and individual pupils.

Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with children with special needs and are required to have:

  • Good written & communication skills
  • Experience appropriate to working with children in an education setting
  • Be committed to fostering an environment that is encouraging, caring and supporting of children being catered for to the highest standard
  • Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour is desirable
