Job description

Our workforce partner is looking for a SEN Teaching assistant at a school near Downham Market.

This specialist school caters to over 50 pupils aged 8-18 years. This challenging but rewarding role invites experienced ASD and SEMH support staff or specialists from comparable backgrounds such as Mental Health support workers, Counsellors, Care workers and Youth workers who are looking to transition into education. The ideal/successful candidate will be contracted a temporary to permanent role, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour in varying group sizes as well as one to one. The successful educator will build trust and rapport with pupils, resulting in a more focused, motivated group of students.

This school is commutable from surrounding areas such as Thetford, Swaffham and Kings Lynn.

You should expect to receive on-going support from your specialist consultants at Teaching Personnel as well as access to an online library of CPD courses which include Understanding Autism, Teaching Assistant Diplomas and Child Psychology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
