Teaching Assistant

Job description

A challenging special school in Oldham is looking for a team-teach qualified teaching assistant to join their team. The school is for children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. The post requires an individual who is able to work as part of a team, support the class teacher, and manage negative behaviour effectively through team-teach de-escalation techniques.

The school has good motorway links as it is a 2 minute drive from the M60.

The schools focus on the engagement of the children and focus on building self esteem and confidence. The position is on a supply basis with the potential for a long term contract. Applicants will enjoy support and guidance from a friendly team who work together and aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. The post is very rewarding and is ideal for people who have SEND experience who are looking to take their next step.
