Teaching Assistant

A large and oversubscribed Secondary School in Oldham are currently looking to appoint a teaching assistant for the new academic year. This is a full time position, working closely with pupils who require extra support to reach their target grades in both English and Maths as well as supporting the classroom teacher.

You will ideally be a qualified teaching assistant or a confident graduate with a strong academic background looking for a career in education. A degree or background in English or Maths would be an advantage, however experience and a passion for working with children is essential. As a teaching assistant you will lead and plan activities for pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, using the national curriculum and reporting directly to the Schools inclusion manager.

Located in Oldham, the School is easily reachable via public transport and runs along the metro-link route to Manchester city centre. There is on site parking available and the School is well facilitated with state of the art ICT resources such as I-pads and Apple Mac computers.
