Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

 Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temporary-Permanent

Location: Penzance, Cornwall

Daily Rate: GBP57-GBP65

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a role in a challenging school environment? Have you got experience working with ASD or are you interested in working with pupils with challenging behaviour? Teaching Personnel is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN TA with experience of ASD and challenging behaviour for a primary school in Penzance. It is an ambitious school, within a diverse and exciting community. The school’s curriculum ensures that students are given equal opportunities to challenge themselves as no one will be missed and help those who fall behind.

Requirements:

• Have experience working as a SEN TA

• Encouraging children's confidence, self-esteem, and independence

• Helping children understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating

• Putting into practice individual education, social, behavioural and personal care programmes

• Providing feedback and assistance to teachers

• Recognizing signs of distress in children and offering reassurance

• Attending to pupils' physical needs

• Will work closely with SENCo, EYFS lead, parents and other professionals
