Full-time Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience working in a secondary school environment? Are you seeking your next full-time role from September 2019?

If so please see further details of a role at one of our key partner secondary schools that is located within the Hindley area of Wigan.

"In order to develop the new cohort of Year 7's joining our school in September 2019, we are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants to ease the transition from a Primary to Secondary environment."

  • Teaching Assistant
  • Full-time position starting in September 2019.
  • Temporary employment for 12 months - Permanent opportunities also available.
  • Typical pay rates of up to £350 per week

Teaching Assistants will join the school on a temporary basis and will be required to start on the 3rd of September 2019. If successful in your application then you will be employed on a temporary basis for at least 12 months. (Permanent contract opportunities are likely to become available later in the year.)

The school recruiting for this role is larger than the averaged sized secondary school with over 1000 pupils on roll. 90% of the pupils are from White British backgrounds with the number of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language being lower than the national average. In its' most recent Ofsted report, the school was commended for the provisions that are put in place for every pupil to achieve. It also stated that the students show high levels of respect to each other and to the staff.
