SEN Teaching Assistant – Wiltshire

 

Location: Wiltshire (Multiple sites available)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: Immediate or flexible

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils aged 4–19 who have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning and behavioural difficulties. You’ll support them in class, in small groups, and through 1:1 interventions—helping them regulate emotions, build confidence, and re-engage with learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with tailored learning plans and EHCPs
  • Assisting with communication, sensory, and behavioural needs
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating progress

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Experienced in education, care, youth work or similar (training provided)
  • DBS-checked (or willing to apply)
  • Open to ongoing professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
