Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a specialised learning provision in Upminster, Essex area. We are looking to recruit a passionate Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a multitude of Special Needs. This role is to work on a full time basis, to begin ASAP! This provision holds 155 pupils aged 4-19 years old whom all obtain education, health and care plans.

Working as a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across all Key Stages, accompanied by a Teacher and other Support Assistants. You will be working with children and young people with a range of severe Special Educational Needs such as; MLD, PMLD, SLD, Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Physical Disabilities. You will also be required to confidently support students displaying challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate must have experience with some of the following:

• Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
• Confidence supporting children and young people with different types of SEN
• Previous experience as a Care / Support Worker
• Work within a Specialist Provision or SEN school

Teaching Personnel can offer SEN Teaching Assistants:

• Weekly pay of GBP300-GBP350 per week, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
• Access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications and knowledge of the field such as: Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, Team Teach and more
• An experienced consultant along with our dedicated on call service
