Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent, BESD/SEMH Special School for boys with specific learning difficulties associated with learning delays or underachievement including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD, OCD and mild auditory, visual and physical disabilities. 

They are a small but close-knit community who seek to provide an excellent education within a secure and caring environment, where every child can feel safe and is valued as an individual. Everything they do is centred upon recognising the particular special and individual needs of each pupil, helping him to overcome his difficulties and to achieve his full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant in this school, it is essential you have the following:

  • Experience working within education, supporting with KS1 & KS2
  • Experience with phonics
  • Experience supporting young people with social, emotional or mental health needs or other behavioural difficulties
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle as this school is not accessed by public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
