About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school community in Sutton Coldfield. This role involves supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs in a mainstream secondary setting, helping them to access the curriculum and fully participate in school life.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with varying SEN needs, including learning, communication, social, and physical challenges.

Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

Assist with classroom management and facilitate inclusive learning environments.

Support students during lessons, breaks, and social times as needed.
-
Monitor and report on students’ progress and well-being.

Promote independence and confidence in students with SEN.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting.

Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
-
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
-
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
-
A relevant qualification or willingness to undertake training in SEN support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
