Primary schools located across Birmingham are looking for committed individuals with a passion for education to join their team on a full-time basis as teaching assistants. The role is to work with pupils from EYFS to KS2, identifying individual needs of the students and supporting them with their academic progress.
There are competitive rates of pay, with a minimum of £83 per day. These opportunities will suit someone with prior school-based experience. It may also suit someone from a health and social care background as well as those with experience of challenging behaviour settings, psychology graduates, 1:1 support, sports coaches, and mentoring backgrounds.
Roles and responsibility can include:
-being active and engaging around the classroom
-working in small groups or a 1:1 basis
-supporting the class teacher with planning and preparing lessons.
-prior experience working with children is recommended but not essential
-passion for education
-successful applicants will be confident, resilient, and proactive, with a genuine passion to assist young children’s academic and social attainment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A keen passion for education and learning
- Experience in the classroom/ supporting as a TA is preferred but not essential.
- DBS on the update service or willing to apply to one.
Teaching Personnel area leading provider of education staffing; we aim to make a difference everyday through staffing tutoring and supply. Long term and short-term placement opportunities are available, ranging from one term to a full academic year. Schools encourage familiarity for its student and staff bond, so someone looking for a long-term full-time role will be ideal. Safeguarding and other additional training will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
