Are you a Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new challenge in an alternative provision centre?

A centre based in the Runcorn area are looking for the right candidate to help assist students who have struggled in mainstream school, some students have been permanently excluded.

Staff are passionate about contributing to the life outcomes of the students they support. Education is at the core of their approach. The school caters for key stage 3 and 4 pupils and staff help to try and re-engage students by creating a happy and healthy environment for them.

They split their week up with three days supporting the class whilst they take part and learn mechanics, hair and beauty and much more. The remaining two days you will be supporting students 1-1, pupil intervention and supporting students with SEMH.

  • Specialist provision- Runcorn
  • Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-3.00pm (Term-Time only)
  • Competitive rate £11.85-£12.87 per hour
  • Start date- As soon as possible.

The school received a GOOD Ofsted report which stated “Pupils’ behaviour in and around school is good, they engage well in lessons. Their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is good because they are knowledgeable about other cultures and beliefs. They are respectful to staff and visitors to the school”.

The ideal teaching assistant would be somebody who can confidently work with students and guide them to achieve their goals. They would be able to build strong and trustworthy relationships with pupils and support them in the classroom, creating a comfortable and safe environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
