Job Title: Care Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Royston, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time (with a view to become permanent)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with this school, a specialist school near Cambridge, to recruit dedicated Care Assistants to join their exceptional team.

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 6–19 with a range of complex learning difficulties and disabilities. Working within a collaborative school environment, your primary focus will be on promoting independence, dignity, and high-quality care for students during the school day.

This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent, offering a rewarding opportunity to develop within a supportive and well-resourced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and emotional support to students throughout the school day

  • Assist with daily routines, including mobility, feeding, and communication

  • Work closely with teaching and therapy staff to support learning and development

  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment where all students can thrive

  • Contribute to care planning and safeguarding procedures

About You:

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive impact

  • Able to work as part of a team and follow care plans and routines

  • Willing to undertake training and professional development

  • Experience in a care or SEN setting is desirable but not essential – full training provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
