Teaching Assistant
Salary: £95 per day
Location: Redbourn
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends)
Teaching Personnel are looking for an ALN Teaching assistant to work in one of our partner schools in the Milton Keynes area. The school is a secondary school that has a centre that specialises in supporting autistic children. The school provide excellent levels of support to their pupils and create a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
Responsibilities of an ALN Teaching Assistant
- Supervise and provide support for pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
- Promote self-esteem and independence.
- Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teacher on pupils’ progress.
- Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.
Ideal Teaching Assistants will have:
- Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
- Experience supporting and de-escalating challenging behaviour
- You will need to be confident, organised and an enthusiastic individual who’s passionate about getting the best out of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
