The Role – SEN Teacher (PMLD&SLD)
We are working with a school for children with Severe Learning Difficulties aged 2-19 year. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD & SLD Teacher. The school has been ranked outstanding by OFSTED for the past 21 years
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver sensory-based, engaging lessons tailored to students with complex learning needs.
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that prioritize each pupil’s strengths.
- Apply your knowledge of sensory integration therapy to support holistic development.
- Collaborate with therapists, TAs, and parents to build a truly inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in marking, assessment, and parent/carer evenings.
- Contribute to the development of a creative, caring, and innovative school culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience or strong training background in SEN or PMLD settings.
- Deep understanding of complex learning challenges and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
