Teaching Personnel are working with an Autism Specialist school in the NG1 area, who are in need of a teaching assistant to start on 22nd February 2021 (likely to continue for the academic year).


The ASC school supports students from 5 years old to 17 years old who present with Autism and potentially of their special education needs. All the classes have small class sizes and groups students on ability levels rather than set age groups. So of the students have challenging behaviour and can be disruptive to the class, however this would alter from class to class.


School is offering:

  • Full time role - Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • GBP10 per hour pay ( GBP65 per day)
  • CALM's training included and paid for by the school
  • Offer weekly lateral flow tests


Candidate must have the following:

  • Experience supporting students who present with ASC and other SEN needs
  • Confident working in small groups and 1:1 if needed
  • Able to report and feedback to the class Teacher
  • Follow instructions from the Teacher and to take own initiative
  • Be available Full Time


Important Information

  • Before working at this school candidates would have to have not visited another Job in the past 72 hours ( this is the schools Covid safety policy).
  • School is assessable on public transport and there are local car parks you can use for an addition fee, as the school does not have their own car park.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
