Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students facing unique challenges? Teaching Personnel are seeking individuals to join our schools as a 1:1 teaching assistant. In this role, you will help provide essential support to a pupil with Additional Learning Needs and some behavioural issues within the mainstream classroom.
Responsibilities of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil.
- Work closely with other members of staff to help support the pupils education.
- Be strong, resilient and adaptive throughout the day.
- Have a positive impact on each pupils.
- Help manage any challenging behaviours and help implement behaviour management techniques.
- Build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, providing social and emotional
While prior professional experience with children with ALN ) is beneficial, we welcome applications from individuals with personal experience.
Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30
Pay: Minimum £12.90 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
