Teaching Assistant KS1 Class – Challenging Behaviour
Location: Nelson (BB9)
Hours: Monday to Friday (8.30am-3.30pm)
Pay Rate: £11.85 an hour
Start Date: 8th January (for the full academic year).
Are you passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviour? Are you able to be a role model and support children in the educational environment?
I am currently assisting a Primary School in Nelson (BB9) to secure an experienced, confident, and positive Teaching Assistant to work in a KS1 class where challenging behaviour is present. Experience within the SEN sector is ideal for the role as well as being supportive and patient. Being pro-active with your approach and getting stuck in is important for the role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting the pupils in the classroom
- Follow the support plan in place for the child.
- Provide a positive presence and engage with the pupils.
- Be able to support and encourage the pupils in the educational environment.
- Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills are required.
