Manchester based secondary school in Gorton are looking to appoint a full time Graduate to work with students that require additional learning support from September or earlier if available for the full academic year. This post will involve providing pastoral and academic support to students on a 1:1 and small group basis, while supporting fully qualified teachers in the classroom.

The students you will be working with have moderate learning difficulties in the areas of social emotional mental health, autism, ADHD, english as an additional language and dyslexia to name a few. This role would be well suited to a recent graduate in the degrees of Psychology, English, Maths, Science, Languages or Humanities with a passion for working with and inspiring young people or going onto teacher training in the future.

The school can be easily accessed from central Manchester or the surrounding areas via bus and tram routes. Medium sized with around 700 students there is a diverse range of students providing a wide ranging and highly rewarding job role with the opportunity to make a significant different to the learning lives of young people.

  • University degree
  • Passion for working with young people
  • Flexible attitude and empathetic nature will ne required
