Make a Real Difference – Join a Specialist Provision in Liverpool

A specialist provision in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a term-time only role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, offering a competitive rate of pay.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students who have faced challenges in mainstream education, helping them to progress both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviour.

  • Implementing strategies to help students regulate emotions and manage behaviour effectively.

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to achieve the best outcomes for each student.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone with experience working with children who have struggled in mainstream settings, often due to additional needs such as ADHD, ASD, and Autism. Many students may have experienced trauma, so the ability to build strong, trusting relationships is essential.

A successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students.

  • A commitment to guiding young people towards achieving their full potential.

  • Reliability, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
