Full-Time | September Start | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Available
Location: Liverpool & Wirral
Agency: Teaching Personnel
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is seeking enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team and work with our trusted partner secondary schools across Liverpool and the Wirral. With full-time roles starting this September, and temp-to-perm opportunities available for the right candidates, there’s never been a better time to step into a rewarding role in education.


The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a variety of educational needs, both in and out of the classroom. Your duties may include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with SEND or additional learning needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation, concentration, and behaviour management
  • Adapting resources to meet individual learning styles and needs
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds – whether you're an experienced LSA, a recent graduate considering a career in education, or someone with relevant experience in youth work, psychology, sports coaching, or care.

Essential Attributes:

  • A genuine passion for working with young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a caring nature
  • Willingness to support students with a range of learning and behavioural needs

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Knowledge of SEND strategies (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or a degree in Education, Psychology, or similar)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
