Teaching Assistant
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
We are anticipating an increased need for 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join schools across Cornwall when education settings fully re-open over the coming months. We are often particularly busy in the Liskeard area so we are seeking applications from candidates who are local to the Liskeard area or who can travel there.
From conversations we've had with school leaders, we have found that many settings will need support from experienced SEN/Behaviour Teaching Assistants throughout the Summer term. We are expecting to have a range of roles from part to full-time, EYFS up to Year 6. Many children with SEN/SEMH/Behaviour needs will require 1:1 support, especially while they reintergrate back into a classroom environment. We'd love to hear from you if:
- You are an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- You are an experienced support worker with experience supporting additional needs or challenging behaviour
- You have supported children in a care setting
We will carry out the interview and vetting process in the lead up to school reopening so that you are ready to start ASAP. We offer competitive rates of pay, a CPD academy and permanent school placements (following a probation period) that will take you to the end of this academic year and potentially into September 2021.
Please email poppy.pellow@teachingpersonnel.com if you're seeking a new 1:1 role within schools.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
