Leyland, Lancashire.
Pay: £12.90 – £14.00p/h
Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Starting ASAP – Ongoing
Teaching Assistant needed for a large, friendly primary school based in the heart of Leyland, Lancashire. The school are in search of a committed individual to work flexibly across the school. You will be assisting in classrooms across the foundation phase and KS2. You may be asked to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who need extra support and or may have additional learning needs.
Qualifications needed? In short, the answer is no. While no formal qualifications are required for this position, you must have transferable skills from experience and be able to confidently satisfy at interview stage your ability to work with children and young people.
Responsibilities:
- Assist both pupils and the classroom teacher with daily activities
- Work 1:1 with pupils who require additional support
- Actively engage in creating and implementing activities and tasks
- Lunchtime duty may be required
- Track and record progress of students
- Create a safe and engaging environment for learning
This is initially a temporary position, however there is the potential for the role to result in a permanent contract in the future pending a successful trial period.
Essential Criteria:
- You must have a child only DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply
- You will need to be registered with the education workforce council or be willing to register
- You must have references cover a period of 24 months
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
