Teaching Assistant

A Special School in grimsby are currently looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants who are willing to work with pupils who have moderate to severe learning difficulties as well as Physical Disabilities. The successful Teaching Assistant will:

*Be an outstanding Teaching Assistant *Have knowledge of the SEN code of practice *Have good interpersonal skills *Be interested in developing their knowledge, skills and understanding of SEN *Be adaptable, creative and inspirational*

There will be elements of Personal Care required!

The school is a very large Special School, and caters for pupils aged 2 - 18 with a diverse range of SEN, including Moderate Learning Needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. The school have high expectations of our students and are dedicated to removing the barriers to learning so students can achieve their full potential. The school values excellent communication skills and believes it is very important Teaching Assistants are confident at building strong relationships with pupils. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
