Teaching Assistant – SEN/SEMH Support

We are currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) schools in the Grantham area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support.

About the Role:
You will work closely with teaching staff to support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. The role involves assisting with learning activities, managing behaviour positively, and helping pupils develop key social and academic skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEN/SEMH needs

• Assist in delivering individual education plans (IEPs)

• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour management

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils is essential

• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting challenging behaviour

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
