A reputable educational institution in Ealing, Greater London, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and ensuring the smooth operation of educational activities. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £80 - £95 per day.
Job Duties:
- Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Provide support to students with their learning, addressing individual needs and offering guidance
- Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities
- Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Prepare teaching materials and resources as directed by the teacher
- Offer one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance
- Assist with the assessment and evaluation of student progress
- Collaborate effectively with the teacher and other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Required Qualifications:
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Education:
- A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
- Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment
- Organisational skills to assist with lesson planning and resource preparation
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field
- Additional training or certifications in specific areas such as Special Educational Needs (SEN) or First Aid
Working Conditions:
The Teaching Assistant will primarily work within a classroom environment, assisting the teacher and interacting with students. The role may involve occasional extracurricular activities or off-site educational visits. The working hours are full-time, typically following the school timetable, and may require some flexibility. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, contributing to the overall educational experience of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
